An Italian tourist was trampled to death by an elephant while photographing it at the Tsavo National Park.
The elephant charged at the tourist,Fernando Mocclola trampling him to death on Sunday at 11:00am.
He had left his wife at the camp and headed to the park to take images of elephants at a watering point near Sabaki river. One of the elephants charged at him before trampling him.
Fernando died at the camp as preparations were being made to airlift him for medical attention. Officials said precautionary measures would be taken to avoid such incidents in the future.
